The Rebel

After performing some research, I selected the camera that I will be using for my travels: the Canon Rebel XT 8MP. It's quite the tool.

The Rebel will be accompanied by an extra battery and two 55mm lens filters (one polarized, one ultraviolet). I just received a 2GB card today; the ensemble is complete.

To get a rough idea of the quality of the image, here is a photo that I took recently while doing some documentary work for a new student-run Opera company at Brown University. The collection of images, in their full quality, will be made available on the group's webpage soon.
